The Strands Hotel and The Screes Inn form the heart and soul of the lovely hamlet known as Nether Wasdale, located in the Western Lake District, Cumbria. Nestled in the Wasdale Valley, surrounded by farmland and fells, the Strands & Screes have been providing welcoming hospitality for over 250 years. The location, quality food & drink and the vibrance of the local community make for an ideal spot to immerse yourself in the Lakeland area and heritage.
Featuring 22 rooms that range from cozy singles to spacious family rooms The Strands and The Screes offers accommodation options to suit every need. All of the guest rooms include a private bathroom and shower. Guest rooms are available as a single, twin, standard double and the executive room with a king size bed. Rooms may be allocated in The Strands or The Screes based on booking availability and assigned room type. All bookings include a selected breakfast from 7am - 9am. Check - in is available from 3pm-9pm, please call if you are scheduled to arrive after hours and check - out is by 10am.
