Discover The Strands Brewery and Distillery where traditional recipes meet the finest local ingredients from the beautiful landscapes of the Lake District in the heart of Nether Wasdale.
The Strands Hotel and Pub always have at least 6 of the Brewery's traditional ales on tap. Bottle sales of beer and gin are available on site and a range of products are available through pubs and retail merchants. Brewer Dan
The Strands always features a selection of 6 Real Ales on tap. Brewer Dan works hard at rotating beers based on the season with a couple of favorite readily available. Dan is working on creating small batches of craft spirits focusing on gin hand crafted in Nether Wasdale.
Strands Beer Festival May 8-10
Come and check out The Strands Beer festival taking place May 8th through 10th 2026 featuring a range of live music, great food options and of course an outstanding selection of Strands real ales. For this years festival we will be featuring a couple of guest breweries to go alongside our own. No entry tickets required just come on up to Nether Wasdale, buy a strip of beer sampling tickets and enjoy !
Start time is 12 noon each day until well into the evening.
